After this original opening, the battle for a spot in the quarter-finals will go into full swing with two head-to-heads in pool B that are already shaping up to be smashing.  Reigning world champion South Africa and Ireland will square off on Saturday September 23rd 2023, after which Scotland will challenge Ireland, in a match on the pitch as well as in the stands, where the Irish and Scottish fans promise an electric atmosphere in the Stadium.
The weekend of October 14-15 will usher in a new stage, with two knock-out quarter-finals. The teams placing first and second in Pools A and B will meet in fateful matches, with a spot in the semi-finals in the balance. Pool A is composed in particular of France, New Zealand and Italy, while Pool B features South Africa, Ireland and Scotland. The tension and suspense will be at their height, on the pitch and in the arena.

The nations that emerge victorious from the quarter-finals will go on to the semi-finals, which will be played at Stade de France on October 20-21.  After more than a month of competition, there will be only 4 teams left in the competition with a hope of hoisting the Webb Ellis Cup Trophy high over their heads. With more than 80,000 fans looking on, these semi-finals promise a stellar display, loads of emotion and a glorious celebration.
The defeated teams will battle it out in the bronze final scheduled on Friday, October 27th, while the winners will secure their berth in the final, a match for the history books, which will bring these 51 days of competition to a fittingly grandiose end.
